Obituary Notice of Robert Dennis Reardon
Posted On: Jun 01, 2025

Robert Dennis Reardon, age 74, of Brockton passed peacefully Wednesday May 28, 2025, at the Accent Care Hospice Center in Milton MA. Robert was born in Brockton, a son of the late Hugh D. and Edna R. (Buckley) Reardon and was a lifelong resident of Brockton.

Robert is preceded by his loving wife Caroline Astrid (Yannone) Reardon and leaves his brother, Timothy D. Reardon, nieces (God Daughter) Kathy and Julia, nephews David, Timothy, Sean, Michael, Kevin and Dayn. Robert spent the last ten years with his closest family, nephew whom he referred to as his boy Peter Michael Reardon (BFD) of Brockton and his children Brenna, Aidan and Emma.
Robert grew up the fifth of seven children graduating from Brockton high school in 1969 where he joined the U.S. Air Force becoming a Firefighter and would go on to be a combat specialist as a part of a helicopter air crew until his Honorable Discharge in December of 1971.

Bob would then go on to be an employee of the City of Brockton where he enjoyed his time as a custodian at the Brockton Public Schools until his unexpected retirement in 1995. Bob loved golf, proud of his hole in one…once! Following his retirement, he spent many years caring for the golf carts at the ever famous D.W. Fields golf course in Brockton. He enjoyed mowing lawns for friends and family to “stay busy” but everyone knew it was just to make ends meet. He was a faithful member of the Club National “The French Club” where he cherished many friendships. Bob was into U.S. History, Politics, Sports and just reading “The Paper”. Loved his Red Sox, Bruins and enjoyed life, he found the best in everything. His smile was contagious and could make friends wherever he would go. His one liners and quips would be frustrating and amusing at the same time. His joy will be forever remembered.

He would be honored to buy you a drink!

Calling hours in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Tuesday, June 3rd from 10:00AM-12:00PM followed by a funeral service in the funeral home at 12:00PM.  Interment will be at a later date in Melrose Cemetery.
